Noni Fruit

Now the question is, just how is it that noni fruit works or what does it do for us. Noni is a bumpy textured fruit that starts out green turns to yellow and then turns white as it ripens. It has also been called cheese fruit, hog Apple and Indian mulberry among other names. It also has a very distinctive odor. It can be found growing on a plant or shrub called Morinda citrifolia, which is most native to Tahiti, but also grows in South America, the Caribbean, Australia and other Pacific Islands.

Because noni is known for a wide range of health benefits, it was originally known as aspirin of the ancient, which goes back many centuries. The different sections of the plant have traditionally been used to make various products that we can use to enhance our health. This includes making internal and external products from the fruit, stem, bark, and leaves.

The fruit is processed to make things that can enhance our cardiovascular system, our immune system, digestive system, skin and visual improvement and the reproductive system. A person can place the leaf from the plant on different parts of the body to ease pain for people with poor joints. They can also be laid on the upper torso for respiratory relief. The bark and stem can be made into a brew for tea that will help urinary tract functions and support joints and increasing longevity.

Research has shown that there are over 150 health-enhancing nutrients in the noni fruit. It includes protein, magnesium, and potassium, vitamins A, B, and C, calcium minerals, amino acids, pectin, digestive enzymes, xeronine, which is an alkaloid needed for cell functions and enzyme activation, and proxeronine that is needed for xeronine.

One of the biggest things people like is that noni fruit is a great source of antioxidants. Antioxidants are needed to neutralize the bad effects of free radicals. Free radicals are unstable molecules that damage cell structures in turn accelerating aging and poor health.

Products from the noni fruit fall in the category of dietary supplements. Even though it has a wide range of proven health benefits, there are some warnings that should be noted. Those people who are hypoglycemic ,diabetic or women that are pregnant or lactating should not use a noni product without first talking to a pharmacist or your doctor. You should also know that noni products are not meant to treat, cure, and diagnosis or prevent any known disease.

If you would like more in-depth information about noni fruit, you can find it on the Internet. You may want to know the exact ingredients of certain products and the various uses of items containing the noni fruit. It is easy to narrow a search to the exact bit of information you are looking for.
